Great Snail Mail

The mail box in front of my house used to hold great mysteries for me. You never knew what would be there, maybe a card, maybe a bill, maybe even money - No More! Now we get all the bills and all the money via electronic media. Sometimes we get a card, mostly we get ads - ugg. Adds from the groceries stores in the area and there are many, sometimes even a whole envelope full of adds.

However last Saturday the mail box held a treasure. My cousin in Alaska came across this picture that was sent to her father in 1947, just a couple of years ago, and sent it to me. So, I'm sharing my great fortune with you.
Notice the adorable little 2 year old on the right, what a frown and stubborn face and what dark eyes. Then the cute baby (her sister) on the left, big blue eyes and not yet old enough to care about having her picture taken.
Most of you will probably know who these two cute children are, interesting what has happened in the last 60 plus years. Anyway, no laughing, just giggle a little and enjoy the photo.
And once again: A great big thank you and hug for Kay.

That's My Mom! Yay, MOM! I posted a comment on another post, only to discover that it's years old and so you probably never saw the comment... I'm Linda, Kay's 2nd oldest daughter. She introduced me to your blog in November when she was visiting for my oldest daughter's baptism. You are my inspiration in the Family History department! Thank you for posting so much about the Jensen Family, I've learned a lot about that side of my family. And it's remarkable how much my littlest brother looks like a Jensen! Check out my family blog at http://andrewloveslindastahr.blogspot.com to see some pictures of Kay's kids!
